Position: Diesel Engine Specialist
Job Duties:
1. Oversee the entire lifecycle of the mechanical design process, from planning and design, to
testing and implementation. This includes disassembling and rebuilding diesel engines,
mechanical systems, electrical systems, electrical motors, and diesel generators to modified
specifications.
2. Upgrade mechanical, electrical and engine systems from the 1980’s and ensure government
regulations including safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
3. Troubleshoot and maintain air systems, brakes, and pneumatics of mechanical systems to
ensure national and local compliance regulations and standards are met.
4. Investigate mechanical equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and
recommend remedial actions.
5. Read, write, and modify electrical diagrams, technical drawings, or computer-generated
reports.
6. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve
system malfunctions, or provide technical information.

Education Requirements:

Experience Requirements:
24 months of experience in job offered, Master Service Consultant, Automotive Service
Consultant, Auto Body Technician and Mechanic, or closely related.
Special skills requirements:
1. Replace malfunctioning parts, components, and other mechanical or electrical equipment,
such as diesel engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems
2. Rebuild the complete mechanical and electrical systems of mechanical vehicles.
3. Create, modify and reshape engine parts and surfaces through the process of cutting,
sanding, grinding and welding.
4. Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machines. This includes providing
cost estimates, scheduling, managing parts ordering, reporting time and labor costs.
5. Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and operate heavy machinery such as cranes for
the repair and restructuring of diesel engine machinery.
6. Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans, and presenting them to clients for
approval.
Salary: $80,000 /year
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
